Yes you can! From the File menu, select Save (.mapimage). A file with extension .mapimage will be downloaded to your computer. You can load that file to continue working on your map image: click File » Load (.mapimage).

I saved a file on my computer but I cannot find it, where is it?

Usually files are saved in the downloads folder of your browser. Check that folder.

How can I make my own map image?

Use our free online tool to enter a location, select a style, and personalize it with text, frames, and markers.

How can I download my map design as an image?

You can download your map image in high resolution: File » Save as image

Is MapImage.com free to use?

Yes, you can create a map poster for free and download it to print yourself. However, if you want to create a large format poster in high quality, we ask for a one-time contribution.

What do I get when I pay for a high quality map image?

If you pay for a high quality map poster image, you can download that image after payment. We will also send you an email containing the download links for your high quality image, which we will store on our server for two weeks.
